...... Thank you so much for the care and attention given to Chris, whilst in your care. Chris has at times been in the care of the Private Medical Sector. It is true to say Mr Jacobs, you and your team stand, in terms of perfection, alongside the Private Sector any day. A huge thanks to your secretary Eileen, who was also there for us - nothing is too much trouble! Chris's stitches have been removed and he is well on the way to recovery.

I understand that I was fortunate to have the marcain pump following my arthroscopic subacromial decompression in February, as the pump is usually only available for patients who have day case surgery. I was very impressed with the pump, as I had virtually no post-operative pain and strongly support your efforts to make the pump available for all patients for whom it is indicated, regardless of where the surgery is performed.
...... I just wanted to say thank you both so very much for seeing me yesterday. I really do appreciate it as I can imagine how busy your days can be. I cannot tell you how much my life has improved due to the surgery. Simple things like carry my toddlers, (although not both together!), brushing my hair, washing, things that are taken for granted I can easily do now. Think it will be a while before I can go back to my salsa dancing!!! Out of all the consultants I've seen throughout my life, even the specialist for multiple pregnancies, you are by far the one that stands out for your patience, kindness, gentleness and professionalism for which I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
......just to say I trust you with my upper limbs and thanks a million for all that you have done for them and me! I believe in showing people how much they are appreciated which is why I am giving you more chocolates. I hope that you are no longer dieting and that you can enjoy them too.
...... we must not let it pass when an episode of clinical care goes very well in a very short period of time that congratulations are in order! Mr (HW) was delighted to tell me and I was delighted to hear of the very efficient way in which he was seen in the clinic on 10 July with no waiting in the waiting room, a rapid and effective consultation with investigations, diagnosis and treatment plan in place with the treatment commencing only four days after the initial assessment this is indeed most impressive and you are to be congratulated! But others look too has a positive mental one
...... I was so nervous before the operation - not the surgery but the anaesthesia. I am terribly superstitious so when I was allocated room 7 at Highfield - my lucky number - I was delighted - and when my anaesthetist came to see me I was ecstatic! - 'if a woman sees a cross eyed man before an important event it is extremely lucky'! And my kind, expert anaesthetist was!!! So, I went to the operating theatre, confident I was in very good hands! I have no pain now and my movements are gradually improving Mr Jacobs has been wonderful, I only wish he could do total hip replacements as well!

...... please tell Mr Jacobs he has been a pleasure to know and not a bit like some of the other consultants who treated me (because I was a porter) like a piece of Pond Life. He is a proper guy who doesn't look down on people although I bet he has a hell of a temper like myself. You can show this if you want and I bet he just has acquired smirk to himself, but he performed miracles on my shoulder and I am forever grateful.
